Welcome to Michigan Traveling Military Museum 

Each piece of memorabilia in the Michigan Traveling Military Museum holds a story of the individual who used it. History at your fingertips. And we bring it all to you through this website, a traveling museum, and our store in downtown Bay City.

The Michigan Traveling Military Museum exists both as a mobile military history exhibit and a traditional fixed, brick-and-mortar establishment.

The mobile format allows us to reach people in different regions. Our store at the corner of Center and Washington avenues in Bay City gives us a place to meet people from the community who wouldn't otherwise know we exist.

No matter where you find us, our primary purpose is to use original military memorabilia and historic relics to help educate Americans (both young and old) about the sacrifices made by our military men and women throughout our country’s history.

We are different from most museums in that we actually purchase military items for our display instead of relying on the traditional donation method. The MTMM is staffed by a group of dedicated collectors/historians and volunteers who are happy to give their time to help make our museum a success.
